Michael is professional in every way. Timely, communication and thorough. I would highly recommend his company for a bath remodel as this is what we have had done, so far

In my experience, most contracting businesses lack a true understanding of hospitality and professionalism.
Mike, the owner of Cornerstone Home Services, was a complete exception. He approached the job with integrity, clear and consistent communication, professionalism, and genuine empathy.
He fully remodeled my run-down rental property at a very reasonable cost—and the entire process was a pleasure.
Highly recommended!

We have used Micheal and Cornerstone home services twice now and couldn’t be happier with the outcomes.. the last project was renovating our guest bathroom and it turned out amazing. Micheal put up with our many questions and issues and was extremely patient and professional. He has addressed all our concerns promptly and to our complete satisfaction. Would highly recommend!

Another outstanding job by Cornerstone Home Services! Michael and his talented painting team just finished painting the exterior of our house. This is our 3rd project using Cornerstone and as we experienced with the other jobs, everything went very smoothly – in both the planning and execution of the project. Administratively, like the other jobs, communication and documentation were excellent.
The team took excellent care to make sure the transitions between the yellow main color and the white trim were clean and precise. They removed all fixtures, lights, outlet covers, etc. that we had decided we didn’t want to have painted. They were meticulous about taping all the appropriate places (windows, etc.) and covering/protecting the pavers all around the house. The result was that there was virtually no splatter onto our pavers, windows, fixtures, etc. Michael had made some suggestions about painting the various electrical boxes, etc. and it turned out really well! Our home now looks “happy” (previously was also yellow, but a very “sad” yellow)!
We really appreciate how much care was taken to make sure everything went well! I’m including a few photos but I’m not sure if they illustrate just how good a job they did! I have already recommended Michael’s painting services to a couple of neighbors who are considering painting their homes. Thank you Cornerstone, for another great job!!
Our Bathroom Remodeling Process
1
Consultation
We begin with a free consultation to discuss your goals, ideas, budget, and preferred timeline. Our team examines the existing bathroom, takes measurements, and identifies potential layout, plumbing, electrical, or access considerations.
2
Proposal and Agreement
You receive a written proposal outlining the project scope, estimated schedule, materials, and expected cost. Financing options can also be reviewed during this stage for qualifying bathroom remodeling projects.
3
Design and Planning
We develop a plan for the bathroom layout, shower or tub, vanity, sink, toilet, storage, lighting, and fixtures. Optional renderings are available after a 50% deposit or for a $300 fee credited toward the job.
4
Material Selection
Our team helps you choose tile, grout, countertops, vanities, fixtures, flooring, paint, shower heads, tubs, and other materials. We consider appearance, maintenance, moisture resistance, and budget when recommending options.
5
Permits and Pre-Construction
When permits are required, we help coordinate the appropriate approvals and inspections. Before demolition begins, we confirm the construction schedule, prepare access routes, and protect surrounding areas of the house.
6
Construction and Installation
Our team completes demolition, substrate preparation, waterproofing, tile installation, flooring, plumbing and electrical coordination, painting, and fixture installation. We maintain an organized job site and communicate throughout the work.
7
Finishing Touches and Final Walk-Through
We complete the grout, paint, trim, lighting, hardware, toilet paper holder, and other finishing touches. After a quality check, we walk through the completed bathroom with you and address any remaining items.

Walk-in shower installation: Curbless and step-in showers, custom shower stalls, seating, niches, waterproofing, and shower head options.
Tub replacement and conversions: New tubs, freestanding bathtubs, soaking tubs, and existing tub-to-shower conversions.
Vanity and countertop installation: Double vanity, small vanity, custom storage, stone counters, sinks, and faucets.
Tile and flooring: Porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone tile, along with grout work and waterproof floor preparation.
Powder rooms and master baths: Complete updates designed around the available room, preferred style, and storage needs.
Walk-In Shower and Tub Conversions
Replacing an existing tub with a walk-in shower can make a bathroom feel more open and easier to access. Cornerstone Home Services manages the complete conversion, including demolition, plumbing adjustments, waterproofing, tile work, and fixture installation.
Your new shower can include built-in seating, storage niches, grab bars, handheld fixtures, and a carefully positioned shower head. We can create a curbless design where practical or install a low-threshold shower stall that improves access without sacrificing style.
For homeowners who prefer bathing, we can replace an old bathtub with a new tub, including freestanding and soaking models. The best option will depend on the available space, plumbing location, bathroom layout, and how your family uses the room.
Bathroom Layout and Design Ideas
A good bathroom design balances appearance with everyday functionality. During the planning process, we consider how easily you can move between the shower, tub, toilet, sink, and storage areas.
A larger master bath may have room for a double vanity, separate shower and bathtub, additional cabinets, or a private toilet area. In a compact bathroom or powder room, a small vanity, wall-mounted storage, and carefully placed fixtures can help the space feel less crowded.
Our team provides design ideas and practical pro tips to help you make the most of the room. Large mirrors, lighter finishes, neat storage, and layered lighting can make a small bathroom appear brighter and more spacious.
Custom Showers, Tile and Waterproofing
Tile is one of the most important materials in a bathroom remodel. It affects the room’s style, durability, maintenance requirements, and resistance to moisture.
Porcelain and high-quality ceramic tile are popular choices for Vero Beach homes because they absorb little water and are relatively easy to maintain. Natural stone can create a luxury appearance but may require regular sealing and additional care.
Proper installation is just as important as choosing the tile. Before laying tile, we prepare the wall and floor surfaces, install suitable waterproofing systems, and plan transitions carefully. Attention to the shower base, corners, grout lines, and plumbing penetrations helps protect the room from water damage.
Vanities, Sinks and Bathroom Storage
The vanity provides workspace, storage, and a visual focal point. We can install a double vanity in a larger master bath or a small vanity in a compact room where floor space is limited.
Available improvements may include:
Custom vanity cabinets
Stone or engineered countertops
New sinks and faucets
Deep drawers and cabinet storage
Open shelves or wall-mounted cabinets
Mirrors and vanity lighting
Coordinated hardware and accessories
We help you select materials that complement the shower, tub, floor tile, paint, and rest of the bathroom decor.
Lighting, Fixtures and Finishing Touches
Good lighting can completely transform a bathroom. Vanity lighting supports grooming tasks, while overhead and shower lighting improve visibility throughout the room. Accent lighting can add warmth and highlight tile, stone, or custom design features.
Our team coordinates lighting installation with the rest of the bathroom plan. We can also install sinks, faucets, toilets, shower fixtures, mirrors, towel bars, grab bars, and accessories such as a toilet paper holder.
Paint, wallpaper, trim, hardware, and decor complete the space. These details may seem basic, but choosing coordinated finishes can make the completed renovation feel polished and intentional.
Accessible and Aging-in-Place Bathrooms
An accessible bathroom can improve safety without looking clinical. We can help create a functional layout that provides easier access to the shower, toilet, vanity, and storage.
Depending on the available room, accessible features may include:
Curbless or low-threshold walk-in showers
Strategically installed grab bars
Shower seating and handheld fixtures
Wider entry points
Slip-resistant floor tile
Improved lighting
Accessible vanity and sink heights
We discuss your present and future needs during the design stage so the finished bathroom can continue serving your household comfortably.
What Affects Bathroom Renovation Cost?
The cost of a bathroom renovation depends on the size of the room, the scope of work, and the materials selected. A powder room refresh will generally cost less than a complete master bath remodel involving a new layout, custom shower, bathtub, or major plumbing changes.
Common cost factors include:
Shower or tub replacement
Custom tile work and waterproofing
Plumbing or electrical upgrades
Vanity, sink, and countertop selection
Toilet and fixture replacement
Flooring and wall preparation
Layout changes
Permit requirements
Custom storage and accessible features
We provide a clear proposal before work starts so you understand the project scope and what is covered.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a bathroom remodel typically take in Vero Beach?
Most full bathroom remodels take approximately two to six weeks, depending on the project scope, tile work, material availability, and permit timelines. A powder room refresh can usually be completed faster. We provide an estimated timeline with your proposal.
Do you provide renderings or plans before construction?
Yes. We offer renderings for bathroom remodeling projects so you can visualize the proposed bathroom design and layout before construction. Renderings are shown after a 50% deposit or are available for a $300 fee credited toward the job.
Are you licensed and insured in Florida?
Yes. Cornerstone Home Services is licensed and insured, providing homeowners with added peace of mind during bathroom renovation and remodeling projects.
Can you convert an existing tub into a walk-in shower?
Yes. We complete bathtub-to-shower conversions and walk-in shower installations, including demolition, waterproofing, plumbing coordination, shower stall planning, tile, and fixture installation.
Do you handle plumbing and electrical work for bathroom renovations?
Yes. We coordinate the plumbing and electrical work required for sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, lighting, outlets, and other bathroom fixtures. All work is planned to meet applicable requirements.
What tile options do you recommend for bathrooms in a coastal climate?
Porcelain and high-quality ceramic tiles are excellent options because they are durable and absorb little water. Natural stone is also attractive but typically requires sealing and more maintenance. We help you compare materials based on style, durability, and care requirements.
Can you install a double vanity or a small vanity depending on my space?
Yes. We install double vanities for larger master baths and compact vanities for smaller bathrooms and powder rooms. Each option is planned around storage, access, and a functional layout.
Do you offer financing for bathroom remodel projects?
Yes. Financing is available for qualifying projects over $1,000 through Synchrony and other payment-plan options. Available financing can be discussed during the proposal stage.
Will my bathroom be waterproofed properly during a remodel?
Waterproofing is a priority. We follow appropriate preparation and installation practices for shower stalls, bathtub surrounds, wall surfaces, floor transitions, tile substrates, and grout to help prevent moisture damage.
Can you help with accessible or aging-in-place bathroom renovations?
Yes. We can plan curbless showers, grab-bar placement, seating, wider access points, accessible fixtures, and other features that improve safety while maintaining an attractive design.
What happens to my existing bathroom fixtures and tub?
We remove existing tubs, toilets, vanities, fixtures, tile, and other finishes included in the demolition scope. Disposal or possible salvage options can be discussed and documented in your proposal.
How do you protect my house during a bathroom renovation?
We use protective floor coverings, dust-control methods, organized staging, and designated access routes. We also protect surrounding doors, walls, and living spaces to keep the house as clean and safe as possible.
Do you offer design ideas and pro tips for small bathrooms?
Yes. We provide layout ideas, lighting recommendations, tile suggestions, storage options, and practical tips for making a small bathroom appear larger and function more efficiently.
Can you install new countertops and sinks as part of a bathroom remodel?
Yes. We install stone and engineered countertops and coordinate the installation of sinks, faucets, plumbing connections, and other vanity finishing touches.
